Brews

The following is a complete list of brews we've made since opening in March of 2010. Some of these are always available, some are seasonal, and some will only be brewed on occasion or possibly only one time. See our home page for a current list of what is available on tap, in a growler, or in a bomber:
  • First Ascent (A Belgian Honey Lager) - brewed with an overabundance of local light clover honey and cascade hops, this brew has a crisp citrus/clover nose with a clean malty slightly bitter finish and a hint of toast (4 % ABV)
  • Ro Shampo (Imperial Red Ale) - brewed with four varieties of hops and a blend of 6 malts, this is well balanced with a nose that evokes thoughts of toffee, fine whisky, and cotton candy while finishing with the satisfaction of a taffy apple on a warm autumnal day (7.5 % ABV)
  • Camp 4 Brown Ale - a hazy Northern England Nut Brown Ale style with notes of chocolate, coffee au lait, caramel, and perhaps a hint of a turtle sundae (5 % ABV)
  • Rye Knot - a complex rye based brew somewhere between a baltic porter and a stout with a rich black head, hints of licorice, oak, cognac, and a light woodsy bitter finish (8.5 % ABV)

  • ReplicAle 2011 - our entry for Brewers of Indiana Guild 2011 Winterfest is a historical recreation of a famous New Albany beer, Ackerman's Imperial Double Stout, which was originally brewed once a year at Easter as a treat for the brewery's customers and as a substitute for Doppelbock, traditionally served during lent. The official brewery name was Southern Indiana Ice and Beverage Company, but was locally known as Ackerman's Brewery. Brands included Amsterdamer Bock, Ackermans, Great Eagle, Royal Munich, Vienna Select, Old Rip, Imperial Double Stout, India Pale Ale, and Daniel Boone. The brewery, unable to make a profit in a competitive city, closed on November 15, 1935. (7.8 % ABV)
